Some More Lawn Fawn….

Okay, so I am loving playing with my new Lawn Fawn goodies and I couldn't resist playing with creating some gift tags. I am also loving the Darice glitter paper that I picked up several weeks ago.

For the Lawn Fawn stamp, I used my Spectrum Noir markers in the colors:
I used BG 2, 4, and 6, and IG 2 and 4 for the body of the owl and
DR 1, 2 and 3 for the owl's scarf.
Once again, I used last year's Lawn Fawn Christmas papers and the sticker sheet and Darice glitter paper.
For the yarn and ribbon, I actually used what was tied around my goodies in the packaging.
I finished off the tags with this year's Christmas sequin pack.
The tags were the medium and large sized white tags from Hobby Lobby.

Enjoy!

This Post Needed a Title.... and a Giveaway!

*** I forgot to add a title to this post, sorry if anyone had any trouble linking to this post!

Hello All, can you believe it's Thursday already??? (For that matter, can you believe its almost the middle of October?!?!?!!?!) Where does the time go?!? I just thought I would pop in and share a project that I whipped up a few weeks ago for my new sister-in-law (my brother's wife). She is in the midst of student teaching, so I thought that she might enjoy some office cute office supplies to stay organized. She really loves canning, so I thought I would use a Dear Lizzy paper from a 6x6 pad I picked up a couple of weeks ago. I also used some old Amy Tangerine papers  from a 6x6 pad a dear friend sent me a year or so ago and Dear Lizzy Fifth and Frolic paper pad, as well as some labels from Heidi Swapp and some October Afternoon Butterfly and small doily stickers. I finished off the projects with some white Basic Grey mini alphas, Q&Co rhinestones and pearls and My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste enamel dots. I used some small flowers that my cousin sent me to finish off the clothespin magnets I made. So that the paper would not peel off the magnets, I used some Modge Podge Acrylic spray to finish them off.

(If you stick with the pics to the bottom, I'm sharing a small giveaway!)

I also wanted to do a small giveaway. I put together a small kit for making Christmas tags and a small card making kit. For a chance to win, become a follower and let me know in the comments and for a second chance blog about the giveaway and put a comment with a link to the post. The giveaway will be open until October 25th and I will post a winner on the following Monday, October 28! I will be picking two winners, one for the Christmas tag set and one for the card kit!

Springtime...in February

It is supposed to be in the 70's today. It was almost 70 (if it didn't actually hit 70) yesterday. Craziness... good craziness.... but craziness.

In the spirit of springtime, I have some more spring creations to share. I also plan on putting these up on my etsy shop. They are actually very similar to a set I made for a charity auction earlier this year and I thought they were so cute that I would whip up another set to put up on my Etsy Shop.

For supplies, I used basic cardstock and papers from a paper pack that I can't remember the name of (my cousin gave it to me and it is fully of such bright cheerful colors and patterns), I used gems from  acmoore (also a gift from my cousin), and the ribbon was just scraps I had on hand. The flowers are from different Prima flower collections. The brads were a gift from my Secret Pal last year. I left the backs blank so that any sentiment/message could be written. I traced the template out from a pattern I cut out off the back of a K & Company paper pack.

Holiday Expo

Hullo all! Sorry I've been AWOL, but I was in some major last minute crank these crafts out mode for the last two weeks before the Holiday Expo I participated in on Tuesday. I have a bunch of pictures to share what I made, but today I thought I'd just share a couple of pictures I took and a friend took of my table. :) I didn't too bad. The only table that really sold a TON was the lady selling scarfs that she imported from Ecuador. I didn't want to spend money on my table set up, so I just grabbed my green table cloth that I use for the holidays, a orange leaf serving tray to display my paper pumpkins and a small basket to hold the little candy pouches. I just whipped up a sign with the name of my Etsy shop in Word and put it in a frame I already had. I also managed to get my business cards all printed out too. Sweet :)

(Sidenote: The chocolate candy didn't sell, but that's okay, I'll just use it as small gifts for co-workers, and some little cousins and friend's children. :) )

Some more of the custom order

So I finished off some more of the custom order that I have to get sent out next week before I head off on my trip with my mom.

I finished up one last tags set, a small set of three thank you cards, a wedding card, a more masculine general card, and a card for a baby girl. I still need to finish up a card for a baby boy, a more feminine general card, and a feminine birthday card.

I also started bagging up the tags and card sets as well.

Supplies:
Paper: basic card stock, My Mind's Eye, and K&Company Amy Butler Line
Embellishments: Ribbon from dollar aisle at Target and Michaels, Prima flowers, and rhinetsones from dollar aisle at Michaels
Sentiments: Recollections wedding, baby girl and nature sets, digi images

I also got my father's day cards done and out. I will post those early next week.

Good Morning All....

Good Morning all and welcome to another wonderful week... Summer is {almost} here (okay, well it's mostly here for those of us south of the Mason-Dixon line) and the pool is open!!! Finally :) :) :) I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but I am looking forward to being able to get back in the pool, that is for sure.

On a craft-related note, I started working on the custom order due in July for a friend who is putting an auction basket together for a charity she supports and wants it to be centered around my creations! (Sweet :) ) - The gift basket is going to be a "gift givers" basket. The thought is, whenever you need to give a gift or card, you'll have what you need on hand. A pretty great idea, right?

Anyhoo, She asked me to create all of the cards/tags/etc. for the basket. Yesterday I started in on some of the tags. My thought for the gift tags was, something for girls, boys, and neutrals for either gender. I finished up the girl and boy oriented tags last night and haven't quite figured out what I am going to do for the neutrals yet. Each tag set has 6 tags. Because This is for charity, even though she will be paying for the items I think that I am going to throw in a couple of extra goodies for the basket and for her as a thank you for her business.

On to the tags (sorry for the poor quality of the last pic, the flash messed it up but by then it was too dark and my apartment doesn't have the greatest lighting after dark to get very good pictures without the flash):

Supplies:
Paper: Basic cardstock scraps, patterned paper from a friend and from a Tim Holtz collection.
Embellishments: ribbon from a friend and my MIL (also can be found at Michaels), flowers are from Prima, rhinestones and pearls are from Q and Company.

For a template, I used a template on the back of one of my paper packs, cut it out traced around it and cut all of the papers out and then glued the fronts to the backs. Then I hole punched holes with a regular hole puncher and looped the ribbons through. For the girls, I added some pretty embellishments for a little added punch.

Hope you likey :)  Have a great week everyone!!

And a reminder, if you want to join my craft swap, please let me know by Wednesday because I want to have the names/addresses out by email by Friday.

Gift tags

Good morning all.... man, today it was hard to get up...I just wanted to keep on sleeping!!!! But, alas... I eventually had to get up and go to work...

Anyhoo, I thought I'd share two gift tag sets I made last weekend, before I left for vacation. One of the tag sets I gave to a friend and the other I put up on my Etsy shop.

Tags I put up on Etsy

Tags I gave to a friend

Side note - I've really got to start writing down the supplies I use because by the time I put them up I can't remember anymore :) Most of the supplies I used were given to me though, I remember that :) The only thing not given to me were the brads, and I bought those on Clearance online at Joann Fabrics.
