Hi There Friends

Hi these friends, long time no talkey... Just wanted to pop in with a quick status update. I haven't posted in the past couple of weeks, but I've been a busy bee! I'm editing a couple of books for a Pastor friend of ours, editing a Teacher's Manual I've been working on as well as a workbook for the participants of our New Believers Sunday School classes - for all those who want to become members of our church (it will be an accompaniment to the book that the Sunday School class is based on), as well as helping out in the children's ministry - I'm actually going to be taking a huge step out of my comfort zone because I will now be in the regular rotation for Children's Church teachers.

I flew to Erie, PA last week and spent a few days going through my mothers attic and basement and came back with an entire tote full of pictures to organize (a post on that to come - how to organize 30 years of pictures!) and brought home a bunch of picture frames that my mom was getting rid of because she and my father are MAJORLY downsizing now that all of the chicklets are out of the house and that is also why I brought home all of their pictures to put in to photo albums - they won't have room to hang the pictures and she had many, many photo albums that also needed to be streamlined and downsized.  :) I then back home with some friends and spent the weekend with them, taking them in to D.C. and had a lovely girls weekend.

Anyhoo, back to the picture frames. Hubby and I like to collect little plaques from the countries that he and I visit on mission trips. He brought back two more with him from his recent trip to El Salvador and Honduras and we are starting to build up quite the collection. They are really cool looking (I'll have to take some pics and share), but we are starting to run out of room for them in the office where we had been putting them, which brings me to my next DIY project with the picture frames I brought back with me from Erie. I am going to be overhauling our guest room, getting rid of the girlier pictures and comforter and making a gallery wall over the bed, which will include some upcycled picture frames and all of the plaques we have collected. I am really excited to see how it ends up working out. Now I just have to decide what to put in the frames! LOL. I am also doing a mini-makeover of our bathroom by tweaking the items we already have in it.

So, there you have it.... Many projects on the horizon, which hopefully means, many posts coming on the results ;)

Oh - and I will be revamping my blog and etsy shop in the coming weeks too - So more to come on that too!

  3. I honestly haven't decided yet about that picture. I was thinking of taking it down and storing it. If I do decide not to keep it, maybe it will make a trip to New York with me in April. :)
