Sunburst Mirrors

Yesterday, I mentioned that I am starting to jump on the sunburst (or starburst) mirrors that I have been seeing around blog land. As some of you were curious as to what one looks like.... below are a few pictures. If you are extra curious you can hop on Amazon here to get a more extensive list.

Aren't they purty?

I'm Back!

Hello all! I am back....Just got back yesterday evening. I will post pictures later this week, but I didn't have a chance to download them to my PC yet!

I just want to thank Anita at "The Other Side of Me..." for posting while I was out.... It was neat to see her creative work space!  If you don't already follow her blog, you should check it out. She is super talented, and I have myself been the beneficiary of her generous heart!

And now for my random thought of the day: I have been seeing sunburst mirrors EVERYWHERE in blog land lately.... and I think they are starting to take..... Hmmm... I wonder where on earth I would put one.

P.S. I locked my keys and badge in my front seat in the parking garage of my work this morning. Thankfully, we have AAA so they were able to come unlock my car door....Apparently, I did not want to come back to work this morning. ;)

Some more of the custom order

So I finished off some more of the custom order that I have to get sent out next week before I head off on my trip with my mom.

I finished up one last tags set, a small set of three thank you cards, a wedding card, a more masculine general card, and a card for a baby girl. I still need to finish up a card for a baby boy, a more feminine general card, and a feminine birthday card.

I also started bagging up the tags and card sets as well.

Supplies:
Paper: basic card stock, My Mind's Eye, and K&Company Amy Butler Line
Embellishments: Ribbon from dollar aisle at Target and Michaels, Prima flowers, and rhinetsones from dollar aisle at Michaels
Sentiments: Recollections wedding, baby girl and nature sets, digi images

I also got my father's day cards done and out. I will post those early next week.

More work on a custom order...

Good Morning everyone. Sorry for the lack of posting lately. We've had a lot going on and I haven't had a whole lot of crafting time. Yesterday, I was able to knock out a father's day card and a boy birthday card for the custom order that I posted about last week. I finished up all of the tags and now I just have to get the cards done!!! And all before I leave on a trip with my mom and a few ladies from PA next Wednesday.

For the card, I actually used a digital image that I had colored, cut out, and glued a scalloped edge around several months ago and then never got around to using. For my card, I tried a slightly different design that I saw in a crafting magazine and liked. The design is simple, but I thought this style, plus the size of the image made the card pop more.

I just used a simple piece of cardstock, cut to size and a piece of patterned paper from a paper pack I got from my MIL. I used some ribbon (also from my MIL), both purchased at Michaels.

Hope that you all have a wonderful, blessed week!

P.S. I have some possible new opportunities coming up at work. I would appreciate any prayers for guidance for my husband and I!

Surrounding Yourself with things that bring you joy...

I work in an office space with 3 to 4 other guys, depending on the day....with no windows... Sometimes it can get a little dreary and so I decided that I was going to fill my cubicle up with bright, colorful things that bring a little "girl" into the space and make me smile when I look at them... Enjoy :)

And Happy Friday!!!!

Pictures of loved ones and bible verses.....

Inspirational Printables and stupid cat pictures.....

More inspirational printables....

And last but not least, beautiful flowers and a card from my husband, a card from a family member, a picture of my husband (I've now added a second picture as well) and a framed goodbye card from my last job...

I also have two cute little paddington bears on my desk, but for some reason they didn't come out in this picture... They were given to me by a good friend because the bears are looking at a scrapbook, which I love to do :)

What do you like to surround your workspace with?

Good Morning All....

Good Morning all and welcome to another wonderful week... Summer is {almost} here (okay, well it's mostly here for those of us south of the Mason-Dixon line) and the pool is open!!! Finally :) :) :) I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet, but I am looking forward to being able to get back in the pool, that is for sure.

On a craft-related note, I started working on the custom order due in July for a friend who is putting an auction basket together for a charity she supports and wants it to be centered around my creations! (Sweet :) ) - The gift basket is going to be a "gift givers" basket. The thought is, whenever you need to give a gift or card, you'll have what you need on hand. A pretty great idea, right?

Anyhoo, She asked me to create all of the cards/tags/etc. for the basket. Yesterday I started in on some of the tags. My thought for the gift tags was, something for girls, boys, and neutrals for either gender. I finished up the girl and boy oriented tags last night and haven't quite figured out what I am going to do for the neutrals yet. Each tag set has 6 tags. Because This is for charity, even though she will be paying for the items I think that I am going to throw in a couple of extra goodies for the basket and for her as a thank you for her business.

On to the tags (sorry for the poor quality of the last pic, the flash messed it up but by then it was too dark and my apartment doesn't have the greatest lighting after dark to get very good pictures without the flash):

Supplies:
Paper: Basic cardstock scraps, patterned paper from a friend and from a Tim Holtz collection.
Embellishments: ribbon from a friend and my MIL (also can be found at Michaels), flowers are from Prima, rhinestones and pearls are from Q and Company.

For a template, I used a template on the back of one of my paper packs, cut it out traced around it and cut all of the papers out and then glued the fronts to the backs. Then I hole punched holes with a regular hole puncher and looped the ribbons through. For the girls, I added some pretty embellishments for a little added punch.

Hope you likey :)  Have a great week everyone!!

And a reminder, if you want to join my craft swap, please let me know by Wednesday because I want to have the names/addresses out by email by Friday.
