Thank You Gift

It's WEDNESDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!! That means that in 3.4 hours the work week is half over!!!! ;) Today I just wanted to share a photo album that I whipped up for my boss last night as a thank you for her custom order. She loves purple, so I made to incorporate that!

Supplies:
Paper: Textured cardstock from Michaels, Patterned paper I am pretty sure is from a DCWV collection (you can check their blog out here, btw)
Embellishments: Inside embellishments from the same DCWV collection, ribbon off of a vase of flowers my hubby brought me home a couple months ago. :), flower part of a set from my Secret Pal, letters from a friend (I think she bought them at Joann's but I'm not sure)

I have a serious crafty itch lately. This weekend I think I shall have to pick up a few things from the dollar store (some notebooks and large post-its, and maybe a few more photo albums from Walmart - only 1.00 - score!) and make up a few things for my Etsy shop!

Last Minute Cards

So, for my second post today.... This is one is more craft oriented, but still related to the wedding :)

My first card is a card that I made Friday night while hubby was a worship practice.  It took me forever to get this card finished as I couldnt decide what to do and as I was also watching TV at the same time. Usually this doesn't really distract me, but it was late, I was sleepy, and having a hard time focusing on the task at hand!  I eventually settled on some coordinated papers/embellishments from a set I picked up at Ollie's (or my mom might have picked them up for me... Can't remember!)

Anyhoo, I whipped this little card up for the happy bride and groom!

{Supplies update}

Supplies:
Paper: Textured cardstock from Michaels, Patterned paper I am pretty sure is from a DCWV collection (you can check their blog out here)
Embellishments: Embellishments from the same DCWV collection, ribbon off of a Christmas cocoa mix set from Starbucks (I like to resuse what I can ;) )
Sentiment: Typed out and printed off
Last night, I also threw together a baby card for a couple at work that just had a baby. I couldn't remember whether the baby was a boy or girl.... I thought boy, so I hope that I'm right!!!!! lol!!!!

{Supplies update}
Supplies:
Paper: Textured cardstock from Michaels, Patterned paper from my cousin(dont remember the company name!) and some scraps I had savedEmbellishments: buttons from dollar aisle a few years ago at Target, I keep on reusing this digi image for every baby boy card, I need to get more... and I sincerely wish that I could remember where I got this image from, but I forgot to put the blog name in the file extension when I saved it!!!!)
Sentiment: Recollections stamp set
Hope you are all having a great week!

Sneak Peek of the Week

Well, I mostly finished these things last weekend, but as I didn't have a chance to link up with In the Studio's Sneak Peek of the Week, I thought I'd share one last time my biggest crafting project to date, a custom order that I finished up for my boss.

If you have already seen these, sorry :)  I haven't really crafted much this week. It's been a rough one, but I will most definitely be making something tonight while the hubby is at worship practice as I have a wedding card to make for Sunday and a Congratulations card for a guy at work whose wife just had a baby!

I hope to also finish off a couple more photo albums, one for my boss as a thank you for the order and a couple others to put up in my Etsy shop.

Enjoy!

P.S. You can find the original posts for these projects here and here.

Have a wonderful weekend! I know mine will be good because hubby scheduled us massages for Saturday! :) :) :)

Blessings

Good morning all! Hope you are having a good week.  I don't have anything of my own to share this morning, but I wanted to share some gifts that a dear friend sent me earlier this week. I've been having a rough few weeks and I was feeling really down this week, particularly earlier this week. I came home one afternoon frazzled and worn out, when what do I find waiting for me on my dining room table? A package from my friend. I opened it and found such beautiful gifts and an encouraging, much needed note to cheer me up. This friend has been going through a number of trials this year as well and it has meant so much to me to have someone who knows exactly what I am going through praying for me, as I pray for her.

She has been a great blessing in my life, both through her blog and through her friendship.  I hope that you pop over to her blog to read some of her insights and see just some of the amazing talent she has!!!

Without further ado,  here are some pictures of what she sent... Aren't they beautiful?!?! I just love the little wallet and that flower on the purse!

Die Cut Machine

Soooo, my supervisor was SUPER generous in what she gave me for doing those photo albums... and I now think I will use the money to buy a die cut machine...

Custom Order finished....

Well, I finished up the custom order for my supervisor. I made gift bags for each of the photo albums with a tag for each bag. I am giving them to her today, hope she likes them!

Here are the last two photo albums.

And here are the gifts bags....

Supplies: Paper: Cardstock scraps, K&Company's Amy Butler paper collection and Prima's The Breathe Paper Collection, as well as a paper pack that I cannot remember the name of right now
Sentiments: Colorbok Sweet Blossoms vellum sentiments, customer names, Martha Stewart name card templates
Embellishments: Ribbon from Michaels, Target dollar aisle and a wedding invitation, gems from Michaels dollar aisle and Hero Arts, pearls from acMoore, flowers from Secret Pal, Stamps used on name tags from Target dollar aisle

As a bonus picture... here is a cute/funny picture I took of a little boy in our church on Saturday. We were at a wedding rehearsal, except we didn't know it was going to be outside... and it was COLD.... so this little one was bundled up in my lap and passed out in about 5 minutes..... he was not enjoying the cold but he got nice and comfy really quickly in my lap!

P.S. - The wedding is next weekend so please pray for beautiful, WARM weather!!!! :)

Custom Order

Hi All,  Sorry I have been AWOL, but I've been trying to get over bronchitis and a sinus infection... I'm finally starting to get better, PTL.  Tonight was the first time I've had the energy to work on any projects and I thought I'd try to make a dent in the 6 custom photo albums my boss at work had requested for some ladies that she had a ladies pajama party for a couple of weeks ago. I've got 4 of the 6 done... Hope you like....

I think that the red one is my favorite...

A quick post....

Just a quick post today, as I am still feeling quite ill.... Seems to be getting worse throughout the week instead of better.... which is a bummer because I had to call my aunt and uncle and postpone their visit until at least a month maybe until summer :(  I was really looking forward to their visit, but hopefully the weather will be nicer and work situation will be a little better so I'll be able to take a day off to spend with them....Anyhoo, done with my pity party now!!!

I just wanted to share a card that I made for a client at work. His wife just gave birth to a baby boy and I volunteered to make the card for everyone to sign....

Supplies:
Paper: basic card stock, "Monkeying Around" collection of Recollections, and "White Out" Collection of We are Memorykeepers
Embellishments: Ribbon and buttons from dollar aisle at Michaels

Gift tags

Good morning all.... man, today it was hard to get up...I just wanted to keep on sleeping!!!! But, alas... I eventually had to get up and go to work...

Anyhoo, I thought I'd share two gift tag sets I made last weekend, before I left for vacation. One of the tag sets I gave to a friend and the other I put up on my Etsy shop.

Tags I put up on Etsy

Tags I gave to a friend

Side note - I've really got to start writing down the supplies I use because by the time I put them up I can't remember anymore :) Most of the supplies I used were given to me though, I remember that :) The only thing not given to me were the brads, and I bought those on Clearance online at Joann Fabrics.
