Finally, some crafting.....

Good Morning all. I don't know about you, but I had a super productive weekend! I was able to work from home from Friday, so I was able to get all of my laundry done (well... it was done, have a couple of loads to do again...it piles up fast!) and my sheets changed and the kitchen cleaned/dishwasher emptied... and I was able to start on a couple of cards/gifts for some co-workers birthdays.

Saturday I got the dry cleaning and did grocery shopping. I decided to try something new this trip. When I got home I cut up all of the fruit (except for the apples - I don't like it when they get all brown) and made a giant fruit salad and then put the extras in their own individual containers (trust me - ONLY way to fit a watermellon and mellon in our fridge!!!) then I cut up most of the veggies and made a giant salad.  We get home so late during the week, most day's I am whipped and don't feel like cutting up the veggies to have salad's so I think this is going to help us eat more salad during the week. We had chicken salad last night and I didn't have to cut a single veggie for it!!! (score ;) ) This helps with the lunch making during the week too. Between the salads and the veggies already put in individual baggies, it will be much faster during the week to put together lunches for hubby and myself.

I was also able to finish up the cards/gifts for my co-workers.

For one co-worker, I made a card and for the other (who is my supervisor) I made a card and a small gift. I gave her the gift in her office though so that the other co-worker wouldn't feel bad. I also made a red velvet cake for the team to enjoy for their birthdays. (I forgot to take a picture of the cake - but it was pretty much the standard red velvet cake, with cream cheese frosting and red sprinkles!)

Supplies:
Paper: K&Company patterned paper
Embellishments: Ribbon from Michaels, Chipboard letters from the dollar aisles at Target

Supplies:
Paper: K&Company patterned paper, scrap cardstock
Embellishments: Ribbon from Michaels, Chipboard letters from the dollar aisles at Target, Letter sticker from dollar aisle at Target, pearls from acMoore, green rhinestones from Hero Arts, flowers from Prima
Sentiments: The sentiment on the pink card was from a vellum pack that a friend gave me and the blue card sentiment was from a Birthday stamp pack I had  - first I stamped in yellow and then stamped over the yellow in black to give the sentiment a little dimension.

This was a thank you gift for one of my previous co-workers that recently placed a large order with me for several cards and gift tags.

Sneak Peak Friday

Hi All...I am linking up with Sneak Peak Friday this week I've been waiting all week to post these creations... mainly because they were a gift that I sent with my Pastor and his wife to give to a friend this week... I hope they didn't forget... and if they do, I guess the friend gets a sneak peak at her gift!

Anyhoo, I made two more photo albums, one for a friend and one for her daughter's birthday. The first is in orange because that is said friend's favorite color :) I also experimented with a glitter stamp kit that she gave me on her photo album, so I hope she likes it!!! Her daughter's photo album has a more tropical flare to it as her room is a beachy/surf board theme.

Necessity is the mother of invention - I used the flower instead of an "A" because I didn't have any more "A"s!!! Thankfully it seemed to come out pretty cute :)

Supplies:
Paper: cardstock, I believe the patterned paper for the second photo album came from a My Mind's Eye set, the papers in the first set I believe came from either K and Company or DWCW
Embellishments: Ribbon for both albums from Target dollar aisle, Glitter leaves on first album from a Martha Stewart glitter stamp kit; Gems on second album from Hero Arts, Flower in outside of second album from Memento, flower brad from Secret Pal
Sentiments: Sentiment on outside of first album came from the same paper pack: K and Company/DWCW Set; I used alphabet stickers for the name on the inside; for the second album, the name on the outside was created with alphabet stamps from American Crafts; Happy Birthday sentiment inside from alphabet stickers and a flower from my Secret Pal

...and I think that's it.... Hope that you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Thank You Gift

It's WEDNESDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!! That means that in 3.4 hours the work week is half over!!!! ;) Today I just wanted to share a photo album that I whipped up for my boss last night as a thank you for her custom order. She loves purple, so I made to incorporate that!

Supplies:
Paper: Textured cardstock from Michaels, Patterned paper I am pretty sure is from a DCWV collection (you can check their blog out here, btw)
Embellishments: Inside embellishments from the same DCWV collection, ribbon off of a vase of flowers my hubby brought me home a couple months ago. :), flower part of a set from my Secret Pal, letters from a friend (I think she bought them at Joann's but I'm not sure)

I have a serious crafty itch lately. This weekend I think I shall have to pick up a few things from the dollar store (some notebooks and large post-its, and maybe a few more photo albums from Walmart - only 1.00 - score!) and make up a few things for my Etsy shop!

Sneak Peek of the Week

Well, I mostly finished these things last weekend, but as I didn't have a chance to link up with In the Studio's Sneak Peek of the Week, I thought I'd share one last time my biggest crafting project to date, a custom order that I finished up for my boss.

If you have already seen these, sorry :)  I haven't really crafted much this week. It's been a rough one, but I will most definitely be making something tonight while the hubby is at worship practice as I have a wedding card to make for Sunday and a Congratulations card for a guy at work whose wife just had a baby!

I hope to also finish off a couple more photo albums, one for my boss as a thank you for the order and a couple others to put up in my Etsy shop.

Enjoy!

P.S. You can find the original posts for these projects here and here.

Have a wonderful weekend! I know mine will be good because hubby scheduled us massages for Saturday! :) :) :)

Custom Order finished....

Well, I finished up the custom order for my supervisor. I made gift bags for each of the photo albums with a tag for each bag. I am giving them to her today, hope she likes them!

Here are the last two photo albums.

And here are the gifts bags....

Supplies: Paper: Cardstock scraps, K&Company's Amy Butler paper collection and Prima's The Breathe Paper Collection, as well as a paper pack that I cannot remember the name of right now
Sentiments: Colorbok Sweet Blossoms vellum sentiments, customer names, Martha Stewart name card templates
Embellishments: Ribbon from Michaels, Target dollar aisle and a wedding invitation, gems from Michaels dollar aisle and Hero Arts, pearls from acMoore, flowers from Secret Pal, Stamps used on name tags from Target dollar aisle

As a bonus picture... here is a cute/funny picture I took of a little boy in our church on Saturday. We were at a wedding rehearsal, except we didn't know it was going to be outside... and it was COLD.... so this little one was bundled up in my lap and passed out in about 5 minutes..... he was not enjoying the cold but he got nice and comfy really quickly in my lap!

P.S. - The wedding is next weekend so please pray for beautiful, WARM weather!!!! :)

Hi All,  Sorry I have been AWOL, but I've been trying to get over bronchitis and a sinus infection... I'm finally starting to get better, PTL.  Tonight was the first time I've had the energy to work on any projects and I thought I'd try to make a dent in the 6 custom photo albums my boss at work had requested for some ladies that she had a ladies pajama party for a couple of weeks ago. I've got 4 of the 6 done... Hope you like....

I think that the red one is my favorite...
