Well, yesterday I kicked it into high gear. I have a number of birthdays this week and next and I hadn't started any cards yet. My grandfather's card and another card I need to send out are going to be late :( The month simply got away from me. But My Pastor and His Wife are having an Anniversary this week as well, along with it being Pastor's birthday. I finished their anniverary card last night and started his birthday card. Below are a birthday card for one of two people (haven't decided yet) and the Anniversary card for my Pastor. The supplies I used were left over ribbon, card stock from a friend and plain black cardstock that I bought at Walmart. The digi-stamp I used came from TLC Creations.

Hope you enjoyed my creations! Have a great day!
Wow, I really like both of those! They turned out lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a good job on these, Ashley! I love them both. Nice coloring on the waterlilies, and I love that little ribbon embellishment on the first one.
ReplyDeleteAunt Jane's birthday is the same day as Grandpas, too!
Is it weird that the way I remember Aunt Jane's and Grandpa's birthday is that Aunt Jane is Grandma's age on Grandpa's birthday??? ;0) I actually have cards for both of them ready to go out today. Haven't put up the pics yet because I just finished them up last night before we headed to bed :)
ReplyDeleteThis next week is crazy for birthdays. It is Pastor Wilson (my current pastor) and his wife's Anniversary and Pastor's Birthday, it is my MIL's birthday, Angelene Tucker's birthday, it is Grandpa, Aunt Jane, and Victoria Caram's birthday as well!
P.S. I don't know if I bought the wrong brand or what, but the glue dots I used were HORRIBLE on that first card. I tried them out on that ribbon embellishment and the thing is still trying to come apart. I am going to take the top black flower embellishment off, staple the thing together and then glue it back on to the front of the card!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are the glue dots I use and love.

They come in all types, so make sure you don't get the kind that are removable, for vellum, or memory books. You want the light green or red boxes. I personally started out with just the minis. There's a ton on a roll and you can always use two or three if one isn't big enough. But the big ones are hard to make smaller since they're so sticky. I just press my button or whatever right on top of the glue dot to pull it off the roll. Or if I can't, I use the tip of my Cutterbee scissors to lift it up and place it under my ribbon knot or whatever.
Hope that helps!
Thanks Christy.. I think that I bought the removable ones for a first try... I will definitely give the other ones another go, because they are convenient for a lot of different parts of cards!
